The Western Valley Panthers are back for another season in the NBJHL. Already three games into the season the Panthers post a 1-2-0 record. The Panthers played host to the Grand Lake Moose in their home opener October 5th, opening the season with a W winning 4-2.

The Panthers continued the home stand Oct. 12th as the Tri-County River Cats came to town. After a slow start for the Panthers in the first the River Cats saw themselves out to a quick 4-0 lead after the first. A hard fought Panthers squad never gave up as they came back to tie the game at 5. With only minutes to go in the third the River Cats were able to pull away and take the game 7-5.

The Panthers hit the road for their first road game of the season in Fredericton, New Brunswick on October 13th, to take on the Fredericton Caps. The Panthers were able to strike quickly on only the second shot of the game but the Caps soon proved as to why they were one of the top contenders of the league last season pulling away with a commanding 7-3 victory.

The Panthers are on the road again this weekend to visit the rival Hampton Hurricanes. The Panthers are back at home October 26th, 2013 when they face the Moncton Vito's. Until then continue to check back here for all the latest and up to date news of your Western Valley Panthers.
